The Case Against Voter Registration Drives...

Lately I've been thinking about the whole concept of voter registration drives. I think they are wrong. I think we don't have too low of percentage of our citizens voting, I think we have far too high of a percentage. If you can't name your state and federal representatives I don't think you should vote. If you don't watch or read the news at least once a week, I don't think you should vote. If you think everyone in the other party lies and no one in your own does, I don't think you should vote. If you think the Fox News Channel is fair and balanced or that the New York Times is balanced and fair then you should not vote.

I'm opposed to any kind of test or formal restrictions on voting but I just think if your not interested in what's going on enough to inform yourself, don't feel guilty. Just get a bag of chips and stay home and relax.

Both the major parties depend on uninformed people who aren't bright enough to think for themselves to get elected.

I believe if just once, all the stupid people were to stay home, a third party would take the White House and everything would change.
